What is the local performance framework?
The 2006 Local Government White Paper - Strong and Prosperous Communities - proposed a new performance framework for monitoring and regulating local government. This will replace Best Value and Comprehensive Performance Assessments. The aim is to reduce the inspection and monitoring burden placed on local government.
