Working for Energy Saving Trust

At Energy Saving Trust our mission is to address the climate emergency.

We’re a leading and trusted organisation, dedicated to promoting energy efficiency, low carbon transport and sustainable energy use. We work with governments, businesses and individuals to address the climate emergency and deliver the wider benefits of clean energy as the UK transitions to net zero.

At Energy Saving Trust we don’t just offer jobs – we offer careers. For our people, being part of the effort to address the climate emergency makes working for us meaningful and rewarding.

We invest in our people and culture. We’re committed to creating an engaging, supportive and inclusive workplace for everyone, and providing opportunities for development, training and growth.

Be part of a positive change

We’re an exciting and diverse community from different backgrounds and fields, united in our mission to address the climate emergency.

We’re always looking for committed people with a diverse set of skills and experiences to help us achieve our goal. Read more about our values.

Learning and development

You’ll start your Energy Saving Trust journey with an induction period to set you up for success in your new role. You’ll get to know your new colleagues, understand more about the organisation, our mission, and where you fit in.

You’ll have regular touch points with your manager, as well as clear objectives and a personal development plan. To support your training and development needs, we offer access to courses and information covering professional and personal development, in addition to wellbeing, on our in-house platform.

We’re working to embed a coaching culture in the organisation as we see this as an incredible way to empower our people and build innovation and collaboration into the way we work.

We aspire to have a truly diverse and representative workplace. We strongly encourage applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and with different identities and experiences to apply for roles with Energy Saving Trust.

We’re a Disability Confident Committed employer and offer guaranteed interviews for disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for a role.

We want to ensure that our recruitment process is inclusive of, and accessible for, everyone. If you think you may need additional support or reasonable adjustments made to any part of the recruitment process, please get in touch with the People team. We’ll do our best to support you.

We’re working to become more diverse and inclusive. We want to do more than just talk about diversity and inclusion: we want to take real and meaningful action.

We started this journey three years ago when we hired a diversity and inclusion (D&I) lead, who has helped us to develop and implement an organisational D&I strategy. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we know we can always do more.

All our colleagues have a role to play in helping Energy Saving Trust become more diverse and inclusive and we hope you will join us in our journey.
