Louise Kingham OBE has joined Energy Saving Trust’s Board as a non-executive director. Her appointment took effect from 1 January 2020.
Louise has spent the past 26 years working with energy professionals around the world. Prior to her appointment at the head of the Energy Institute (EI) in 2003, Louise was Director General of the Institute of Petroleum and Chief Executive of the Institute of Energy.
The Energy Institute (EI), the leading professional body for energy, which promotes excellence by developing knowledge, skills and good practice in the global energy sector.
Louise is also a Board member of the Powerful Women initiative that works to promote better gender balance among the energy sector’s leadership. She is a board member and former Chair of the Energy Industries Club and she volunteers her time to judge several energy industry awards programmes.
Ms Kingham was awarded an OBE in 2011 for her work in relation to services to the energy industry and is a Fellow of the Energy Institute (FEI). In 2017, she received an Honorary Science Doctorate from the University of Bath.
In welcoming the appointment, Energy Saving Trust’s Chair, Neil Sachdev, said: “Louise brings a wealth of valuable and recent experience in the energy efficiency sector to the Energy Saving Trust Board. We are delighted to welcome Louise to Energy Saving Trust.”
