Energy Saving Trust joins UKGBC as member organisation

Energy Saving Trust is pleased to announce it has joined UKGBC as one of over 500 member organisations working to create a better built environment in the UK.

Launched by the construction and property industry in February 2007, UKGBC aims to unite the UK building industry using sustainability as a catalyst to positive transform the places that people use every day.

UKGBC is part of the World Green Building Council network, a global network of over 70 national Green Building Councils working to transform the places we live, work and play.

Headquartered in London, UKGBC has a team of just over 20 staff, as well as a members’ advisory group that represents its 500+ member organisations. This group provides strategic advice and support to UKGBC on its key priorities, programmes and membership activities.

Commenting on the news, Stew Horne, head of policy at Energy Saving Trust said: “By joining this influential network of organisations, we look forward to working with members of UKGBC to support and meet their ambitions in transforming the built environment in line with the UK’s net zero goals.”
