The Green Retrofitting and Property Decarbonisation Conference brings together public and private sector experts to consider successful retrofitting projects, share best practice, and present plans to decarbonise houses across the UK.

The hybrid event, taking place on Wednesday 3 November and hosted by Built Environment Network, will feature an exhibition space, keynote and panel sessions and networking opportunities at the conference location in London.

Jack Wilkinson-Dix, policy officer at Energy Saving Trust, joins the first panel session of the day to discuss Green Retrofitting – The Challenge Ahead. The panel will highlight the scale of the retrofitting challenge, the support required to successfully decarbonise UK homes, and the positive economic and social benefits this can bring.

Energy Saving Trust joins the event to discuss the need to retrofit and install low carbon heating systems such as heat pumps to reduce carbon emissions from our homes. Installing more heat pumps can provide job opportunities, ensure more comfortable living, and help decarbonise UK homes on the path to net zero.

The session is hosted by Turner and Townsend. Jack will be joined by Matt Harrison, project director for social housing decarbonisation fund at the UK Government’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy; Sam Stacey, challenge director for transforming construction at UK Research and Innovation; Sarah Laing Gibbens, head of decarbonisation and standards at Welsh Government; and Anna Thompson, non-executive director at National Home Improvement Council.

Green Retrofitting and Property Decarbonisation Conference takes place from 8am until 4.15pm. Tickets are available to attend online or in-person here.
