Low Carbon Heat Skills Grant

Help your staff upskill for the future

Upskill your workforce to make the most of the green recovery.

Is your business prepared for the future of decarbonised heating systems?

Did you know, as part of Scotland’s transition to net zero and to speed up the green recovery, Scotland will need to aim for approximately 1 million homes to be fitted with heat pumps by 2035?

To help this happen, the new Low Carbon Heat Skills Grant will offer a grant covering up to 50% towards training courses for small to medium enterprises.

The courses are designed to provide workforces with the skills they need to install low carbon heat technologies: specifically air and ground source heat pumps. Now is the perfect time to think about investing in training. Invest not only to futureproof your business but also to empower your workforce to lead the way as your sector innovates.

To apply, follow the simple steps below. And remember, the grant is offered on a first-come, first-served basis to a maximum of five employees per company.

  • Step one – Check your employees meet the minimum eligibility criteria of having a VQ3 or equivalent qualification
  • Step two – Forward this page to a maximum of five employees who meet the above criteria and who are Scottish residents
  • Step three – Encourage your employees to complete and submit the form

Employees will later hear from their nearest participating college regarding next steps within 7 days.

Maximise your impact in the sector and Scotland’s future.

The grant is funded by the Scottish Government, managed by Energy Saving Trust and administered by ESP in collaboration with the participant colleges. If you have any queries on the eligibility criteria or on the scheme in general, please send an email to ESP at [email protected]
