Concerted Action for the Renewable Energy Sources Directive 3 (CA RES 3) exists to support the transposition and implementation of the Renewable Energy Sources Directive through structured and confidential dialogue. It permits the EU Member States and Norway to discuss in confidence how best to implement the RES Directive and emphasises topics that: require common approaches and will benefit from coordination and the exchange of best-practice between member states. It is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

Energy Saving Trust chairs the expert group on Renewable Heating and Cooling. We set the strategic direction, select and plan the topics for discussion, undertake research, prepare reports and chair, structure and facilitate discussions amongst the groups of member state representatives and other invited experts, including those within the sister Concerted Actions and the European Commission.
