Energy Saving Trust’s response to the UK Government’s electric vehicle chargepoints in residential and non-residential buildings consultation.

With demand for electric vehicles continuing to grow, there is an opportunity to ensure that access to charging infrastructure is designed into all new homes, offices, retail parks and other developments, avoiding potentially costly and disruptive retrofitting at a later date. Our response supports the Government’s aim to future-proof developments, highlights how the ability of new homeowners to choose their chargepoint/energy supplier could be enhanced and the importance of well-resourced enforcement.
