A comprehensive consultation on the proposed Northern Ireland Assembly Climate Change Bill, which considered how Northern Ireland can mitigate against the impact of climate change.

The consultation reviewed the potential for sector specific Climate Action Plans. It also explored the proposed role for a Climate Commission, government department responsibilities and transboundary issues.

Our response focused on the importance of setting legally binding targets and budgets in line with Climate Change Committee advice. We also discuss the value of citizen assemblies in facilitating a just transition.
