The Strategic Investment Board sought views on proposals for a draft Investment Strategy for Northern Ireland (ISNI). Infrastructure is critical to wellbeing, success, prosperity, and the general future of Northern Ireland.
“If we are to invest in infrastructure successfully to address the long-term issues we will face in the coming decades, government must work with citizens and organisations to use their knowledge and expertise to help guide and develop an Infrastructure Strategy that benefits us all.”
In our response we agreed with both the vision and challenges outlined together with a detailed response on the investment priority areas we need to focus on to decarbonise our economy and society. We outlined the need to invest in our utility infrastructure to align with creating a flexible, resilient, and integrated energy system as envisaged in Northern Ireland’s Energy Strategy.
