We’re immensely proud of the close working relationships we’ve forged with organisations which support minority groups and take pride in ensuring our energy and money saving assistance reaches far and wide.
We're keen to build new relationships too - so, if you work for a community organisation that represents a minority group, get in touch.
We’re a partner of Happy to Translate, the initiative that supports organisations to engage with customers who speak little or no English.
Regardless of what language our customers may speak, where they’re from or what barriers they face, we make sure that we can clearly communicate with them to ensure they receive a quality service.
Visit Happy to Translate's website for more information.
We work with regional equality councils and community groups across Scotland, to help us reach people of all nationalities.
We’ve produced our Saving Energy Factsheet for householders in a range of community languages. Download them from the list below or, if you would like printed copies, call free on 0808 808 2282 or email us.
We can also translate information about Home Energy Scotland into other languages, braille or audio on request. Download our translated documents below and if the language you're interested in doesn't appear here, get in touch with us - call 0808 808 2282 or email us.
Read our case studies to find out more about the amazing work we’ve done to help minority communities save energy and money:
• Communities for Conservation: We work in partnership with Edinburgh & Lothians Regional Equality Council to help residents from a number of communities reduce their energy consumption, cut their carbon footprint and worry less about their bills.
• Afro-Asian Community Energy Challenge: We worked with Aberdeen Multicultural Centre to help Aberdeen’s Afro-Asian communities reduce their carbon footprint and become more energy efficient.
There’s lots of help out there to make your community greener – but sometimes it’s tricky to know who to turn to. This free community support pack will help you on your way.Order your free pack
