Home Energy Scotland – COVID-19 update for customers

We’re determined to remain open to deliver our service to customers across Scotland and we’re working very hard to ensure that’s possible while prioritising the safety of our network staff.

17 Mar 2020

We recognise that home heating and energy use will be affected by people staying home to work or to avoid picking up the coronavirus. We can help with any questions you might have around staying warm and saving energy – we’re briefing our advisors with the latest information from energy suppliers and from Scottish Government, and we’ll stay up to date with any new developments.

We’re determined to remain open to deliver our service to customers across Scotland and we’re working very hard to ensure that’s possible while prioritising the safety of our network staff.

Many colleagues are already set up to work from home and our focus now is on getting our telephone advisors working remotely. Please bear with us while we make these vital arrangements that will keep advisors safe while keeping the lines open too.

Our number one priority is the health and wellbeing of our customers, colleagues and their families, and therefore we are now cancelling all home visits, events, workshops and outreach activity until further notice. For more information about changes to our service, please read our customer FAQs here.

If you’re worried about your energy bills or struggling to stay warm at home, call us. We’re funded by the Scottish Government and we’re here to help. Our service is free and impartial and we’re committed to keeping you warm. Contact us free on 0808 808 2282.

Warm regards,

Home Energy Scotland
