Time to take a meter reading?

Energy use has risen since lockdown, but many of us haven't been billed yet

30 Jun 2020

Since lockdown began, we’ve been working to help people in Scotland manage their energy use and keep their bills under control.

Research we’ve published today found that more than half of us believe our energy use has gone up during lockdown and, although many of us haven’t had a bill yet, this is a worry for most.

Watch our video to see what we found.

If you’re one of the 51% who hasn’t had a bill yet, we’d advise you take a meter reading and send this to your energy supplier. Better to see a small increase in your bill now than to put it off – this could mean you’re hit with a bigger bill in winter when costs tend to be higher anyway.

Whether you need someone to talk you through taking a meter reading, or are really struggling and want to find out about crisis funding, we’re here to help. Give us a call on 0808 808 2282 for free and impartial advice, or request a call back and one of our friendly advisors will be in touch.
