The Portfolio Energy Analysis Tool (PEAT) provides detailed cost-benefit modelling to help you target your retrofit planning efficiently and effectively. There is also free training and support available to help you get the most from this powerful tool.
PEAT allows you to:
determine recommended energy efficiency improvements and costs for each property
conduct an almost limitless selection of ‘what-if scenarios’ to assess the impact of installing various measures on key metrics, including EPC rating, fuel bills and energy consumption, carbon dioxide emissions, and the risk of fuel poverty.
The Home Energy Efficiency Database (HEED) provides comprehensive information on energy efficiency measures installed under Scottish Government schemes since 1992. It gives you full details of property attributes and energy efficiency characteristics, such as:
property type
tenure and age
wall type and insulation
loft insulation
glazing
main heating fuel type and heating system
all of which can support retrofit planning.
It is an invaluable source of information for local authorities and housing associations, and for academic researchers.
