The fully equipped classroom travels to rural and remote areas of Scotland to deliver certified heat pump training where there are no local heat pump training facilities. Funding is available through the Scottish Government’s Heat Pump Skills Fund, to help cover the cost of training. More information on the Heat Pump Skills Fund is available under the funding section of this page.

The centre is managed by South Lanarkshire College in partnership with the Green Heat Installer Engagement Programme at Energy Saving Trust. The training is delivered by BPEC-certified heat pump instructors at convenient locations for those attending. The centre is currently only available in Scotland. If you have training providers close to you, please use these where possible. You can check whether there are training providers local to you on our heat pump installer toolkit.

Funding

Participants can access subsidised training at a cost of £250 per person through the Scottish Government’s Heat Pump Skills Fund. This funding is available until 31 March 2027.
