HPMS is one of Scotland’s largest property factoring firms, managing more than 70,000 units across flatted blocks and housing developments. With offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, the company has been providing factoring and property management services for over a century, celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2022. 

Homeowners in a newly built factored development approached HPMS seeking access to EV charging for their allocated parking spaces. With demand for EVs increasing, residents were keen to futureproof their homes. 

Twelve of the fourteen owners expressed a clear willingness to participate, giving HPMS a strong case to explore funding options that would make installation both accessible and cost-effective. 

HPMS found the process of applying for support straightforward and well structured. Both Energy Saving Trust and the installer offered clear guidance, responsive communication and practical advice, ensuring each step was easy to follow. 

To keep the project moving, HPMS collected owner contributions in advance, with the reassurance that grant funding would be returned upon completion. This collaborative approach gave residents confidence and ensured the installation progressed without delays. 

Residents now benefit directly from convenient, onsite EV charging which helps current EV drivers charge efficiently and supports those considering switching to an EV in the future. 

For the development, the installation enhances long-term value. EV charging infrastructure is becoming an increasingly important feature for homebuyers, and providing it now helps the block stay aligned with Scotland’s wider net zero ambitions. 

By enabling access to clean transport infrastructure, HPMS is helping homeowners make low-carbon choices that reduce emissions and support Scotland’s transition to net zero.
