About the business chargepoint funding

Small businesses in rural areas and third sector organisations anywhere in Scotland can access grant funding to install electric vehicle charging infrastructure on their premises. 

Check if you’re eligible

You can apply for chargepoint funding if your organisation is either: 


And any of the following criteria applies to your organisation: 

  • you currently operate plug-in electric vehicles 
  • you employ staff who currently operate plug-in electric vehicles and would benefit from charging at work 
  • you can confirm that you or your staff will operate electric vehicles in future, or that other sources, such as visitors or residents, will frequently need to use the chargepoints (please note that we may ask for more details at a later stage in the application process)

How to find an approved chargepoint installer

To be eligible for funding, installations must be carried out by an Office for Zero Emission Vehicles and Energy Saving Trust approved installer. Search our list of approved installers to find one operating in your area.
