a charity, community group or not-for-profit organisation
And any of the following criteria applies to your organisation:
you currently operate plug-in electric vehicles
you employ staff who currently operate plug-in electric vehicles and would benefit from charging at work
you can confirm that you or your staff will operate electric vehicles in future, or that other sources, such as visitors or residents, will frequently need to use the chargepoints (please note that we may ask for more details at a later stage in the application process)
How to find an approved chargepoint installer
To be eligible for funding, installations must be carried out by an Office for Zero Emission Vehicles and Energy Saving Trust approved installer. Search our list of approved installers to find one operating in your area.
You’ll need to agree on the payment terms with your installer. Please note, we don’t recommend paying until your chargepoint has been installed. We will only reimburse you after the installation has been completed and commissioned.
Installers must complete our onboarding process to be added to our list of eligible installers. This list should not replace your organisation’s standard procurement and due diligence checks.
If your application is approved, we will issue you with a commercial host agreement and a grant offer letter.
Once you have this, you can arrange a date for the work with your chosen installer. Remember, you must not install your chargepoint before you receive your grant offer. If you do this, you won’t be eligible to receive the funding.
If your costs go up after receiving your grant offer letter, please tell us as soon as possible. If you change installers without telling us or without having your new quote approved, we will withdraw your grant offer.
Once the work is complete, your installer will provide you with an invoice along with an electrical installation certificate.
Once you’ve paid for the installation, you’ll receive a paid invoice from your installer. Please follow the instructions provided with your grant offer letter. You’ll also need to send us your completed claim form, paid invoice, electrical installation certificate, and signed commercial host agreement so that we can process your claim.
