Energy and money advice you can trust

Take Charge is an advice service that aims to help homes across the North West of England reduce energy bills, get support with debt, access benefits and financial support, and even secure funding for energy efficient home improvements.

The free and impartial service is funded by Electricity North West and delivered in partnership with Citizens Advice in the North West and Energy Saving Trust. It is available to all households in the region and provides energy and money advice you can trust:

  • Energy support: free and impartial advice to help you save around £304 on your energy bills.
  • Money advice: help to claim what’s yours when it comes to benefits, plus practical money and debt advice.
  • Help finding funding for your home: find grants and funding to help with energy saving home improvements and see if you can get extra support.
