Welsh Zero Carbon Hwb

The Welsh Zero Carbon Hwb helps housing providers across Wales meet Welsh Government’s targets to reduce energy use and cut carbon emissions in homes.

The Hwb is funded by Welsh Government and run by us alongside Good Homes Alliance and TrustMark. 

The Hwb supports: 

  • developers 
  • residential social landlords 
  • housing associations 
  • homeowners. 

Since launching in 2023 the focus has been helping social landlords and local authorities use net zero design and technologies in new and existing homes. 

The Hwb also shares learning from innovative housing projects to become a go-to source of information on low carbon housing in Wales. 

What support is available 

  • Advice from experts on net zero housing – Get practical guidance on designing, building and retrofitting homes to reduce energy use and carbon emissions. 
  • Events and engagement opportunities – The Hwb runs webinars and networking events to connect with others working towards net zero housing. These sessions offer a chance to share learning, explore new approaches, and hear from experts in the field. 
  • Knowledge sharing and innovation – Learn from leading projects across Wales and access up-to-date information on housing performance, design, and successful implementation.
