It’s positive to see the UK Government recognise the importance of engaging the public in the energy transition and showing how people can benefit from cheaper, cleaner power.
We welcome the recognition that trusted advice will be critical in empowering households to upgrade their homes to make them warmer, more comfortable and fit for the future. We know the importance of ensuring people feel supported and confident to make changes to their homes and look forward to seeing more detail on this in the upcoming Warm Homes Plan.
Reducing our reliance on fossil fuels remains the single most important step in building a more secure, stable energy future and the Carbon Budget and Growth Delivery Plan marks an important step towards this.
