Home Energy Advice North East is our free, comprehensive energy advice service aimed at improving home energy efficiency across North East England.

Delivered by our experts, this service is made possible through almost £2 million funding secured by the North East Combined Authority (NECA).

The service includes:

  • A ‘One Stop Shop’ energy advice service.
  • An in-home support service to inform residents about available retrofit options.

One Stop Shop (OSS)

The OSS provides advice to residents on improving the energy efficiency of their home by installing measures such as insulation, heat pumps and solar panels

It also links people with grants and installers in the local authorities of:

  • Newcastle City Council
  • North Tyneside Council
  • Northumberland County Council

You can access the service by:

  • Visiting the Energy Advice North east website
  • Calling our free telephone support line (0808 175 9345

The One Stop Shop receives 100% of its funding from the UK Government, under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), with NECA as the lead authority.

  • Newcastle City Council
  • North Tyneside Council
  • South Tyneside Council
  • Gateshead Council
