As part of Low Carbon Homes’ Greater Manchester’s Retrofit Action Week, Energy Saving Trust will be hosting an inspiring online event Retrofit now!

It’s well reported that we need to ramp up home energy improvements if we are to meet net zero targets set out by the UK government. At this event, we’ll explore how we can support organisations to play their role in supporting homeowners through two themes:

  • What help do organisations need to accelerate home energy upgrades?
  • What’s preventing consumers from implementing home energy efficiency measures?

Jamie Browne, senior business development manager at Energy Saving Trust will host the event and we have a panel of experts from different sectors to give their view and answer your questions. The panel will include representatives from B&Q, Lloyds Banking Group, Trustmark and North East Combined Authority.

Speakers:

Paul Carroll – head of services development, B&Q:
Paul is responsible for helping to make it easier for customers to improve their homes through the development of new services. In his 24 years at B&Q, Paul has managed installation services and created new services, including B&Qs Energy Saving Service.

Emma Sinclair – senior manager within Homes Sustainability, Consumer Lending, Lloyds Banking Group:
Emma is focused on supporting customers to make their homes more sustainable and energy efficient, as well as driving down LBG’s financed emissions on our journey to Net Zero.

Laura Hood – domestic retrofit programme manager, North East Combined Authority:
Laura is responsible for coordinating projects across the region to drive retrofit at scale. Laura’s background is in social housing, having led work on stock decarbonisation, before gaining wider experience in energy and net zero at the North East and Yorkshire Net Zero Hub.

Avinash Rajan – proposition director, TrustMark:
Avinash builds collaborations with Technology companies, Financial Services businesses, and Scheme Providers to embed TrustMark’s Assurance and Data Insights to deliver energy efficiency and low carbon improvements in homes.

Jamie Browne – senior business development manager, data & digital, Energy Saving Trust:
