Go Ultra Low (GUL) is the headline sponsor for the 2019 Energy Saving Trust (EST) Fleet Heroes Awards & Conference, now in its fourteenth year.
Energy Saving Trust’s flagship event celebrates organisations who are delivering a cleaner and more efficient future for transport, and brings together transport experts, business and government to discuss fleet sustainability and innovation, low emission vehicles and air quality.
Go Ultra Low is a joint government and car industry campaign that aims to provide consumers with relevant and key decision making information around the switch to an electric vehicle. Energy Saving Trust will deliver the business facing Go Ultra Low Fleet campaign running 1 October 2019 until 31 March 2020.
The Fleet Heroes Awards & Conference 2019 will take place on Thursday 28 November at the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, with over 150 delegates attending to recognise and celebrate best practice across the sector.
The Fleet Heroes Awards are open for entries until the deadline of 30 September 2019, with the shortlist of finalists revealed on 5 November 2019. Six categories are open for applications ranging from Electric Vehicle Hero to Future Cities Hero. Last year’s winners included Bibby Distribution as Ecodriving Hero, Dundee City Council as Ultra Low Emission Fleet Hero and London Borough of Hackney as Fleet Hero.
Poppy Welch, Head of Go Ultra Low, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring this year’s Fleet Heroes Awards & Conference. Energy Saving Trust is respected across the fleet industry for their independence and expertise, and Go Ultra Low is thrilled to be working with them. At Go Ultra Low our aim is simple, to increase awareness, reduce misconceptions and increase uptake of electric vehicles. The fleet industry has always been a huge driver of change, and partnering with Energy Saving Trust, an organisation whose aims complement our own, will be a fantastic addition to the campaign.”
Tim Anderson, Senior Programme Manager at Energy Saving Trust added: “What sets the Fleet Heroes Awards apart is the rigour with which we judge each and every application. In our eyes a great entry is a combination of innovation and leadership in influencing the fleet transport sector. We’re thrilled to welcome Go Ultra Low as our headline sponsor this year, to champion the outstanding work and best practice in our industry.”
“The awards are free to enter and the event is free to attend. I’d encourage organisations to submit their applications to be recognised as best in class and to secure their free place to join likeminded professionals on the day.”
