VCSE Energy Efficiency Scheme: apply to join our network of energy assessors

We’re looking for interested energy assessors who have suitable professional qualifications and experience including (but not limited to) at least one of the following:

• Professional membership of a recognised industry body such as Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers (or equivalent).
• Academic qualification to degree level (or higher) in any of the following: energy, energy management, renewables energy management (or related equivalent).
• ESOS lead assessor, low carbon energy assessor, section 63 advisor.
• Non-domestic energy assessor level 3 or 4.

Applicants should also have a minimum of 24 months experience carrying out non-domestic energy audits. Individual assessors without 24 months of experience may carry out assessments where these are signed off by a qualified, experienced colleague, who will be accountable for the quality of the assessment. Please indicate clearly in your application if this applies and the credentials of the person who will be accountable for the quality of the assessments provided.

• Please complete all three sections of this application form as accurately as possible. Intentionally misleading information may lead to your removal from our informal supplier list. 
• Companies with multiple assessors should make one single application, uploading each assessors’ qualification certificates as supporting evidence.
• Please attach supporting documents to this application form where applicable to prevent delays in being accepted.  
• Please include copies of official certificates as supporting evidence. This will be reviewed to make sure the above-mentioned membership, certification and/or qualification requirements are achieved. 
• When attaching supporting documents as examples of previous work, please include a minimum of one and a maximum of three examples, totalling no more than four sides of A4.
• When attaching supporting documents, consider previous reports, testimonials, and written case studies.  
• Please include examples that clearly detail recommendations for energy and money-saving opportunities identified during the assessment. We can’t accept an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) as sufficient supporting evidence.
• You’ll be asked to provide proof of address in your application. Please see the list of accepted documents on GOV.UK.

If you are accepted onto the informal supplier list, you’ll be required to adhere to any terms and conditions required by Groundwork. This includes use of agreed template reports for the purposes of reporting the outcomes of assessments.

If at any time while the list is active you no longer meet the acceptance requirements, you may be removed from it.

If any information submitted in your application changes, you must immediately inform Groundwork UK. It will assess the change and determine whether you are still capable of being accepted onto the informal supplier list.

If you are not accepted onto the informal supplier list, you may reapply at any time while the list is active when you meet the acceptance requirements.
