Energy Saving Trust will be hosting free electric vehicle (EV) courses in selected areas across England in March 2022 for SMEs and the self-employed.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about electric vehicles and see if it could be the next choice for you and your business.

What’s involved?

The course includes:

  • EV models currently available including their sizes, functionality and realistic driving ranges.
  • Recharging: how, where and what does it cost?
  • EV purchase and running costs.
  • How to drive EVs efficiently to maximise range.

It will also give you a chance to discuss common questions and share your views with other participants, including:

  • Do EVs really save carbon dioxide emissions?
  • Will the National Grid cope with additional charging capacity?
  • How long will lithium reserves required for EV batteries last?
  • Do electric vehicle batteries degrade?

The training course is in two parts:

  • 90-minute online session during which you will learn about electric vehicles and how switching to EVs could provide operational benefits and cost savings.
  • Chance to test drive several models of electric vans and cars.
