Andrew Northcott
I’ve been with Energy Saving Trust since 2024. As knowledge manager, I research new energy saving topics and write advice and guidance for our website and clients.
I’ve 14 years’ experience in the energy saving industry. Before joining Energy Saving Trust I set up a home energy advice service for a small charity that helped residents with energy advice topics. These included:
- reducing bills
- heating systems
- energy tariffs
- grant schemes for energy measures
- dealing with damp and condensation
- getting better ventilation
I’m a qualified energy assessor and trained in thermal imaging, and I’ve provided energy assessments for home owners and businesses by using thermal cameras to see heat loss in buildings.
I have a big interest in building physics as well as technologies that can help drive down a building’s carbon emissions. I’m also interested in how these tehchnologies can reduce fuel poverty and help people maintain a safe temperature in homes that are free from damp.
Outside of work I enjoy mountain walking and paddle boarding.
