We join Inside Housing to discuss how to address fuel poverty and climate change, amidst the growing cost of living crisis. Jack Wilkinson-Dix, policy officer, will share expertise on how to approach the retrofit challenge whilst supporting householders to save energy and save money at home.

The workshop entitled ‘Fuel poverty vs climate change: getting the balance right’, sponsored by Equans, will investigate how to approach decarbonising housing stock, looking at fabric first and technology first approaches whilst understanding the impact this will have on residents. Panelists will also discuss how to manage the rising cost of energy and decarbonisation measures for people already affected by fuel poverty.

Jack will be joined on the panel by Lizzie Westmacott, head of sustainability at ECD architects. The session will take place alongside Housing 2022 conference in Manchester, Europe’s largest housing festival.
