Want to learn more about how your community group or organisation can save money on energy?

Join our free event in Blantyre!

Hear from speakers from Business Energy Scotland, Local Energy Scotland, Rural Development Trust and Home Energy Scotland. They’ll be covering how you can save energy, opportunities for generating your own energy and funding available.

Afterwards, there will be time for questions and networking with refreshments.

Speakers:

Business Energy Scotland – Eva Rainey (assistant programme manager) will discuss heat loss in community buildings, how to generate energy and funding available

Local Energy Scotland – Gemma Murray (Glasgow and Central Scotland development officer) will discuss community energy, benefits and challenges and will cover what CARES offers

Rural Development Trust – Gordon Muir (managing director) will share his experience as a Lanarkshire community organisation in securing funding to fit renewable energy sources including solar PV and the recent installation of battery storage.

Home Energy Scotland – Lilian Delaney (partnership officer Strathclyde and Central) will provide a presentation aimed at community groups with a focus on energy.

The event is suited to community groups and organisations who own community assets and who are interested in generating their own energy for community benefits.

Please book per group/organisation to allow as many to take part as possible, please note spaces are limited to two people per organisation.
