Taking place from Monday 27 September – Thursday 30 September, Warm Homes Week brings together over 600 organisations to discuss challenges and solutions to tackling cold homes and ending fuel poverty.
Warm Homes Week will host four daily webinars featuring experts from across the energy industry, collaborating to discuss what fair decarbonisation looks like, new services and support for low-income households, and the actions required to prevent fuel poverty during the path to net zero.
Laura McGadie, group head of energy at Energy Saving Trust, joins Warm Homes Week to discuss a fair and progressive transition to decarbonisation within our homes. The panel discussion will examine the solutions and challenges to supporting low-income and vulnerable individuals as the UK looks to implement new policies on home energy use during the transition to net zero.
The session will be led by Matt Copeland, head of policy and public affairs at NEA, and chaired by chief executive of NEA, Adam Scorer. Laura McGadie will be joined by James Kerry, head of policy for Home Upgrade Grant at BEIS; Matthew Lipson, business leader consumer insight at Energy Systems Catapult; Simon Maine, director of corporate affairs, Ovo Energy; Jonathan Marshall, senior economist, Resolution Foundation; and Joe Parrott, policy research, Citizens Advice.
Warm Homes Week is hosted by National Energy Action (NEA), which operates across the UK, working to ensure everyone can afford to live in a warm home.
The panel discussion will take place on Tuesday 28 September at 10.10am. Register your attendance here.
