In March 2021, we partnered with SNIPEF and CSIC to commission a report to explore the different routes to engaging in low carbon heat and installer experiences of training and certification.
The Scottish Government anticipates in the Heat in Buildings Strategy that almost all buildings in Scotland will be using a zero emissions heating systems by 2045 to meet net zero targets.
This report identifies the skills needed for low carbon delivery, and installers’ concerns about training for new entrants and existing workers.
