Announced today is the appointment of the new UK Head of Transport at Energy Saving Trust. Tim Anderson secured his new role following a rigorous selection process involving internal and external candidates and takes up his new post with immediate effect.
Tim has worked in several management roles in the transport team since joining in 2007. Prior to this, Tim worked in the automotive sector developing experience in fleet management and daily rental operations. He brings with him 20years of leadership experience and knowledge of the sustainable transport industry having previously worked with Hertz Europe, Virgin Media and National Car Rental (now Europcar). Having held the role of Senior Programme Manager, specialising in managing complex government programmes to promote sustainable mobility since 2012, Tim has a detailed knowledge of the policy landscape and operational needs affecting the transport sector.
With full responsibility for the leadership and development of Energy Saving Trust’s UK transport programmes, Tim will play a key role in meeting the organisation’s goals and targets in tackling climate change and local air quality. He will continue to build on our existing reputation for excellence in customer service and delivery of high quality, impartial advice to businesses and individuals. This includes the leading significant work programmes for Department for Transport, Transport Scotland alongside work for other stakeholders in the sustainable travel industry.
