The University of Salford are hosting a lecture in London, followed by a panel discussion focusing on the energy crisis, energy efficiency solutions for households, and retrofit.

Professor Will Swan and Professor Rich Fitton will share their insight into energy efficiency and present their research from Energy House 2.0, an innovative facility that houses two environmental chambers, each able to accommodate two detached houses and simulate a variety of weather conditions.

Will and Rich will talk energy savings measures in existing homes and how occupants can save energy using cost effective measures. A preview of Will & Rich’s research is available to view on BBC News.

The lecture will be followed by a panel session, with panellists representing a range of areas within the energy sector. Our head of policy, Stew Horne, joins the panel discussion to share insight into how we can ensure a just transition to low carbon energy solutions for all households, and the role of advice to provide impartial, independent guidance.

The event can be attended in-person or via live stream, and is open to both University of Salford alumni and public guests:
