People in London can now get free, impartial advice on saving energy and reducing their bills thanks to a new service launched by the mayor today.
Delivered by Energy Saving Trust, the Energy Advice London service provides expert energy saving advice to anyone living in the capital.
A dedicated website includes information to inform householders on reducing their energy bills, renewable energy, local grants and financial support for home energy improvements. There’s also a directory of local services helping the city through the cost of living crisis.
Expert energy advisors provide over the phone and email advice to anyone needing additional information. Those who need the most support can also get in-home energy advice from local partners, including support to deal with energy debt.
The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said:
“With rocketing energy bills, too many Londoners will be forced to choose between heating and eating this winter.
“Energy Advice London will help Londoners to manage their bills while keeping their homes warm, but this energy crisis can’t be averted without government taking bolder action.”
Energy Saving Trust already manages several other advice services across the UK, including Home Energy Scotland and Nest in Wales. Energy Advice London has been developed specifically for people in all London boroughs, using local knowledge and working with a network of partners.
