Earlier this month, UK Government Transport Secretary Grant Shapps announced a series of new measures to boost the uptake of electric vehicles (EVs) and decarbonise transport.
The new plans include chargepoints at popular destinations such as supermarkets and tourist sites, clear public signage for drivers on UK roads, and guidance for local authorities on painting EV parking spaces green.
The government have also invested £12 million into funding for research and development (R&D) to support a series of competitions for some of the most promising EV technologies.
