Join our list of approved installers

Those seeking charge point grant funding through our domestic charge point grant fund and the factored development grant fund must choose an installer from our approved list.

If you are an installer interested in joining our list of approved installers, please read below how to apply.

Register as an Energy Saving Trust approved charge point installer

Before you begin the application process, we recommend reviewing our guidance document.

The guidance provides instructions and advice on which documents you will need to submit to be approved.

Key information and documents to submit

  • Your Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) workplace charging scheme (WCS) reference number; you might also need to supply your electric vehicle homecharge scheme (EVHS) reference number.
  • Mock-up examples of a quote, invoice and paid invoice. Details of what these should include is in our guidance document.

How to apply

  1. Review the details outlined in our guidance document
  2. Submit your online application.
  3. Have your mock-up example documents ready to email to electricvehiclesscotland@est.org.uk

After you submit

Email us your mock-up examples of a quote, invoice and paid invoice.

We aim to process your submitted application within 15 working days. Remember, missing documents, resubmitted documents or changes to the application can all delay our processing times.

Performance monitoring

We will monitor the performance of installers on our approved list to ensure their conduct is fair and of exemplary quality. We may remove installers who are not exemplifying an acceptable level of performance, like repeated failures of post-installation care for their customers, inconsistent invoicing or quoting and frequent, repeated negative feedback from customers who have applied for one of our grants.
