Santis Global ecargo bikes

Find out how Santis Global received ecargo bike grant funding to start its sustainability journey.

Background

Established in 2014, Santis Global is a courier-service provider based in London. The company offers a wide range of services, including same-day, UK overnight and international delivery, as well as pick-up and drop-off services.

With a team of 30 office staff and 80 drivers, Santis Global handles a lot of deliveries and pick-ups. Most of the its clients are based in London, and it mainly works with high-end law firms and banks. However, the company’s services aren’t limited to London-based clients, and it has expanded over the years.

Santis Global is committed to being more environmentally friendly and reducing its impact on the environment. With this in mind, the company decided to switch to sustainable delivery options, such as ecargo bikes, as part of its delivery fleet.

Process

Aiming to stay competitive and meet the growing demand for sustainable deliveries, Santis Global looked into the different options available for its fleet.

The one that stood out was ecargo bikes: as well as being sustainable, the bikes could also access areas that delivery vans couldn’t.

The company looked into bike schemes and discovered the eCargo Bike Fund grant scheme and decided to apply.

Result

Santis Global received a grant in both rounds of 2019/2020 and 2021/2022 funding.

This grant allowed the company to buy seven ecargo bikes, which were carefully selected after Santis Global did extensive research to find the right models that would meet the company’s needs.

Adding ecargo bikes to the company’s fleet has not only helped it to meet the growing demand for sustainable delivery options, but it’s also improved the company’s efficiency and attracted new customers who are environmentally conscious.

Santis Global now has pushbikes, ecargo bikes, electric vans and electrically assisted pedal vans as part of its fleet.

“Everybody is on the journey to become more sustainable. This is building up steam. It’s whether companies are in it for the short or long term. We will also do the right thing for London and for our clients. I would recommend [ecargo bikes].”
