Craftspace, based in Birmingham, is delivering the Making for Climate Change programme. In year one it worked with 50 LGBTQ+ young people to explore craftivism through the lens of the Climate Emergency. The project focuses on enabling young people to have a voice about the climate emergency through craft making.
“This workshop made me think a lot more about sustainable materials and the importance of biodegradability.”
“I feel more empowered to take part in activism in ways that are more achievable and less ominous.”
In year two the project will engage with D/deaf young people.
