With the UK Government planning to end the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030, local authorities are looking to establish or expand their electric vehicle (EV) chargepoint provisions. This will also support their plans to meet their net zero targets and reduce local air pollution.

To help local authority officers deliver effective EV charging infrastructure, we’ve put together a selection of resources including webinars, case studies and best practice guidance. These are divided into three areas, depending on where you are in the process.

These resources are aimed at local authority officers who are just starting out with implementing EV charging in their local area.

Local electric vehicle infrastructure fund

Whichever stage you’re at, the UK Government’s local electric vehicle infrastructure (LEVI) fund can support local authority officers in England with the process of delivering chargepoint infrastructure, to work with the chargepoint industry, and to improve the roll out and commercialisation of local charging infrastructure.
